Dit mag u wel en niet naar de kringloopwinkel brengen

Van knuffelberen tot aan servieskasten; jaarlijks zamelen kringloopwinkels miljoenen kilo’s aan spullen in. Alleen niet alle spullen zijn geschikt voor een tweede leven. In dit artikel vertellen we u wat vaak wel en niet wordt ingenomen.
Door kringloopwinkels gooien we minder weg
Doordat mensen spullen naar kringloopwinkels brengen wordt er minder weggegooid. Dit is uiteindelijk beter voor het milieu, omdat spullen en andere materialen op een verantwoorde manier worden hergebruikt. Alleen het ene product is hier meer geschikt voor dan het andere.
Grote verscheidenheid aan spullen wordt ingenomen
De meest gangbare spullen worden vaak ingenomen, mits ze er goed uitzien. Denk dan bijvoorbeeld aan het volgende:
- Boeken en tijdschriften: zorg dat ze nog leesbaar zijn en niet beschadigd.
- Kleding en textiel: schoon en in goede staat, zoals kleding, beddengoed en handdoeken.
- Klein huishoudelijk: denk aan servies, glaswerk en klein keukengerei.
- Speelgoed: compleet en veilig voor gebruik.
- Elektronica: in werkende staat, zoals kleine keukenapparaten, radio’s en dvd-spelers.
- Kleine meubels: stoelen, bijzettafeltjes, etc. Mits deze schoon zijn en zonder aanzienlijke beschadigingen.
- Decoratie: fotolijsten, potten, vazen en andere huisdecoratie
Wel bepaalt iedere winkel uiteindelijk zelf wat ze wel en niet innemen. Het kan daarom goed zijn om van tevoren altijd even te bellen met de kringloopwinkel in uw buurt, om teleurstellingen op locatie te voorkomen.
Maak voor sommige spullen vooraf een afspraak
Voor sommige items is het verstandig om vooraf een afspraak te maken. Dit heeft vaak te maken met de grootte of specifieke behandeling die mogelijk nodig is. Denk aan grote meubelstukken, grote apparaten (bijvoorbeeld een wasmachine of droger) of antieke objecten.
Deze spullen worden in ieder geval niet geaccepteerd
Sommige spullen zijn bij voorbaat niet geschikt voor een kringloopwinkel en kunnen bijvoorbeeld beter naar een milieustraat worden gebracht. U moet dan denken aan het volgende:
- Verf
- Chemische stoffen
- Gevaarlijke stoffen
- Vloeistoffen (al dan niet brandbaar)
- Gemotoriseerde voertuigen (zoals auto’s, brommers e.d.)
- Aandelen en andere waardepapieren
- Alcohol of levensmiddelen
- Gekopieerde cd’s of dvd’s (originele cd’s en dvd’s wel)
- Defecte, niet meer verkoopbare en/of beschadigde artikelen
- Goederen die smerig en niet meer schoon te maken zijn
- Spullen die gestolen kunnen zijn
- Dieren
- Drugs en producten voor drugsgebruik
- Wapens en daaraan gerelateerde objecten
- Geneesmiddelen
- Cosmetica (make-up, nagellak etc.)
- Vuurwerk
Heeft u spullen die niet in dit lijstje voorkomen en twijfelt u? Neem dan voor de zekerheid nog even contact op met de kringloopwinkel die u op het oog heeft.
De inname van spullen is soms op specifieke tijden
Kringloopwinkels kunnen voor de inname van spullen andere tijden aanhouden dan de reguliere openingstijden. Zo hebben werknemers de tijd om de spullen uit te zoeken, eventueel schoon te maken, een prijs te bepalen, deze in het computersysteem te zetten en uit te stallen in de showroom. Veelal kunt u hier de innametijden van de kringloopwinkel bij u in de buurt zien.
Soms kunt u spullen ook laten ophalen
Als u zelf niet in staat bent om spullen te komen brengen, bijvoorbeeld omdat u slecht ter been bent of geen vervoer heeft, dan kunt u kijken of een kringloopwinkel een ophaalservice heeft. Soms staat dit op de betreffende website en anders kunt u telefonisch contact opnemen.
